Qatar Airways Exhibits Modern Fleet at Dubai Airshow 2015
Qatar Airways has displayed the finest of its modern fleet. Three latest generation aircraft were put on display on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, was accompanied on a tour of the Qatar Airways A380 by His Excellency Mr. Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport for the State of Qatar, and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. Also accompanying the delegation was Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey, Chairman of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
Senior government officials of Dubai accompanied His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the important tour of the state-of-the-art A380. Among the delegation was the President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
The Dubai Airshow was first opened in 1986. Since then, it has developed into one of the largest aerospace events in the world. The showcases the latest progress in the industry for visiting trade, media, and aviation enthusiasts.
Qatar Airways is exhibiting its three aircrafts, the A380, A350, and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was directly delivered to the show from Boeing.
Numerous VIP dignitaries attended the first day of the show, including The Honourable Mr. Nathan Deal, Governor of the State of Georgia, and Mr. Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, who were given a special tour of the Qatar Airways’ aircraft on display.
His Excellency Mr. Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport for the State of Qatar, said, “The State of Qatar is proud to be home to Qatar Airways, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines. We are pleased to attend one of the world’s leading airshows displaying the latest aircraft.”
His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive, Qatar Airways Group, said, “The Dubai Airshow allows Qatar Airways to display the latest advancements, product design and technology available in all our modern fleet. We are proud to see Qatar Airways’ livery on display on the world’s advanced generation aircraft, and to present our award-winning products and hospitality on board to our guests.”
Adorned with bespoke interiors, the airline’s range of aircraft attracted crowds to see the latest additions into the Qatar Airways fleet, the A350 and the A380. The A380 entered service with Qatar Airways last autumn and Qatar Airways acquired the A350 as a Global Launch Customer in December 2014.
