DHL eCommerce Launches Service Points Across Vietnam

DHL eCommerce has launched a nationwide network of ServicePoints in Vietnam, enhancing their growing domestic delivery network which was recently launched in July 2017. DHL says this new service will offer more choice and convenience for e-tailers and the consumer.

The ServicePoint network allows Vietnam’s e-tailers to process domestic parcels at local locations and deliver to their online customers the very next-day in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and tier one cities, and between 2-7 days to the rest of Vietnam. Whilst the majority of shoppers still receive to-door deliveries, the consumer can now choose to pick up their orders from the very same and easily reached retail locations.

“Vietnam’s e-commerce sector is expected to grow seven times its current size and the number of parcels per day expected to grow 26% by 2020, says Thomas Harris, Managing Director, DHL eCommerce. “Since we launched in July, we have seen fantastic growth which tells us that our customers love our service, and we will continue to launch new services and solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations and ensure we continue to ‘deliver the smile in the last mile’.”

 DHL eCommerce has already launched more than 100 ServicePoints and will continue to rapidly expand to more than 1,000 in the coming months. “Vietnam has more than 600,000 SMEs, comprising 97.5% of the country’s total number of companies and contributing more than 40% of the GDP. These enterprises need a convenient and effective solution to quickly deliver their products to their customers,” adds Mr. Harris. “Beyond high quality and reliable delivery, we want to offer greater convenience and choice for sellers to help them grow their e-commerce business.”
