Nouwens Transport Breda Receives New CEIV Accreditation
The Netherlands based Nouwens Transport Breda, a member of Pharma Gateway Amsterdam, has achieved IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) accreditation for Pharmaceutical Logistics.
The Dutch haulage company puts this latest achievement down to their high quality of service in the transportation of pharmaceutical cargo resulting in a major increase in volumes for the third and fourth quarters of 2017 coupled with the expansion of their fleet with four new vans fully CEIV certified as in January 2018.
Business Development & Sales for Nouwens Transport Breda, Sven Veeke had this to say, “This is a valuable addition to our already existing certifications such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP), TAPA-TSR1, and ISO-9001, CEIV is the highest attainable international standard for quality in shipping pharmaceutical logistics by air. Our customers can count on us to ship their pharma products according to the highest quality standards possible.”
The CEIV accreditation was awarded in 2017 and with it displays the effort and commitment Nouwens strives to continue on delivering a high-quality service within the shipping of pharmaceutical goods through Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The company has their own climate-controlled warehouse facility with full GDP certification in Breda. The warehouse has a storage capacity of 2000 pallets. Schiphol Airport, Air Cargo Netherlands and several other pharmaceutical logistics and supply chain partners have created an alliance that formed Pharma Gateway Amsterdam (PGA) at the European hub.
The alliance works to develop and optimize the process of moving pharmaceuticals through the airport in a safe and efficient manner and to further support its members in attaining the IATA CEIV accreditation.
