UPS Announces New Roles for Jim Barber and Nando Cesarone
David Abney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the multinational delivery company UPS recently announced two new appointments within the company. Jim Barber will become the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible their worldwide freight forwarding, supply chain, small package, and general freight units along with their engineering sector.
The second appointment is for Nando Cesarone who will take up Mr. Barber’s previous role as International President and will join the UPS senior leadership group Management Committee.
David Abney said about the appointment of Mr. Barber, “I am pleased to elevate Jim Barber to this key leadership role. Mr. Barber served as UPS President for European operations overseeing the second phase of international expansion that’s started in the mid-90s. Mr. Barber serves on The UPS Foundation as a trustee and also serves on the both the Folks Center for International Business at the University of South Carolina and UNICEF USA boards.
Mr. Cesarone is a 27-year veteran of the company and oversees all International operations for UPS, he became President of European Operations for UPS in 2016. Mr. Cesarone previously held the position of UPS Asia Pacific Region President. Under his presidential term, he has led the company to record business performances in the European region.
