Worldwide Flight Services Receives New Cargo Contract Extensions in Paris

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) have been granted an extension to their contract with Qatar Airways Cargo for Cargo handling at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

In addition to their existing contract, WFS will now provide ramp transportation for Qatar Airways and will move their cargo to and from the aircraft and the warehouses for each of the three flights a day that operate from Paris to Doha.

This new extension comes just after EVA Air also decided to extend their contract with WFS in the French capital. Eva will also employ WFS for ramp transportation along with cargo handling for their Paris CDG to Taipei, Taiwan flights.

Worldwide Flight Services serves over 150 airlines at Paris CDG, making them the largest cargo handler at the airport. Over the course of 2017 handling volumes rose by more than 10% compared to 2016.

Director of Cargo Sales Europe for WFS Stéphane Scholving said, “It is always especially pleasing when major airline customers decide you award you responsible for their whole chain from acceptance of cargo to delivery to the aircraft side. Qatar Airways and EVA Air have shown this commitment to WFS in Paris and by taking control of their end-to-end services, we are confident of delivering important service quality benefits to both airlines and their customers.”
