Lufthansa Cargo Sign Joint Agreement with Brussels Airlines
German Air Cargo Carrier Lufthansa Cargo has made an agreement with Brussels Airlines that will enable the German Airline to market the cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines. The new agreement will commence on September 1st this year and is set to complement both companies perfectly.
Customers of both airlines will benefit from the new agreement as Brussels Airlines customers will have access to around 300 destinations in over 100 countries from Lufthansa’s Cargo route network.
The route network will be further supplemented with West, East and Central African destinations all directly available from the Brussels. Brussels Airlines services 17 African destinations, including Abidjan, Dakar, Douala, Entebbe, Kinshasa and Monrovia.
Lufthansa Cargo Chief Commercial Officer, Dr. Alexis von Hoensbroech emphasized, “With the integration of the cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines, the offer for our customers will become even more attractive and even larger,”
“Brussels Airlines’ African destinations are complementary to our existing network and thus ideally complement our connections”.
CEO of Brussels Airlines, Christina Foerster said about the new partnership agreement, “Lufthansa Cargo has a lot of experience in marketing the cargo capacities of passenger airlines. This cooperation will help us to make even better use of the freight capacities of our fleet. And we, as the European Africa specialist, can add new destinations to Lufthansa Cargo’s offering.”
Brussels Airlines are now the 5th airline to have their cargo capacities marketed by Lufthansa Cargo.
