Royal Jordanian and Air China Airlines Sign Contracts with Worldwide Flight Services
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) growth of their cargo handling business at Copenhagen Airport continues following the addition of Royal Jordanian and Air China to their client base. This has been a strong 2018 so far for the company with several high profile contracts signed, including Cathay Pacific who signed at the end of March.
The contract with Royal Jordanian commences at the beginning of June when the airline launches three A320 flights a week to Amman from the Danish capital.
Air China will commence with five Airbus A330 passenger flights a week connecting Copenhagen with Beijing Capital International Airport on the 30th May. WFS expect to handle approximately 10 tonnes for each flight that are scheduled to depart on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week.
Regional Vice President for WFS, Marc Claesen said, “We have a very efficient cargo operation in Copenhagen and a reputation for meeting our customers’ individual services needs. This, combined with WFS’ strong network of stations across Europe and the advantages this creates for transit shipments to other destinations, is why we are able to continue to gain the support of leading airlines such as Air China, Cathay Pacific and Royal Jordanian. Our team in Copenhagen look forward to meeting each airline’s expectations for the highest possible levels of safety, security and service that WFS is known for.”
At the end of 2017 WFS opened a new temperature-controlled handling facility for pharmaceuticals at Copenhagen airport to further extend their services.
