CEVA and IMS Worldwide form Strategic Alliance for Foreign Trade Zone Services
It was recently announced by CEVA Global Logistics, LLC (CEVA) and IMS Worldwide, Inc. (IMSW) the creation of a strategic alliance to provide their clients in the USA the benefits of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) services.
This new partnership will focus on the development of practical and sophisticated Zone Managed Services that will showcase experience and efficiency throughout.
Both companies have carried out in-depth analysis on their client’s supply chain and from these findings can now offer to integrate certain activities into FTZ environments and therefore achieve improved effectiveness and realistic cost savings in terms of import fees or duty reductions. Other benefits include cash flow as a result of lower working capital being needed.
With this new combined collaborative alliance, CEVA will utilize the experience of the IMSW, a leader in the FTZ consulting and operations in the US to aid their continued growth and enhance their FTZ services to all their Air and Ocean gateways in North America.
Chief Operating Officer of Global Freight Management for CEVA, Jerome Lorrain said about the new alliance, “Our continuing effort to streamline our customers’ supply chains, squeezing every bit of costs out of the logistics process, is greatly aided by this alliance with IMSW, which is considered one of the top FTZ experts in the country. We have worked with them for over 12 years now, and a stronger, more integrated approach is going to be a great addition to our import and contract logistics operations.”
Senior Vice President of IMSW, Trey Boring commented “We are excited about this Alliance as IMSW has been looking for the right partner to grow our current Managed Services business, and CEVA has great reach into Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America. Together we feel this combination is second to none in the industry.”
Along with the FTZ services on offer, CEVA can now provide their client base with cutting-edge e-commerce solutions and continue to increase the reach in the air cargo forwarding market.
