Emirates SkyCargo Awarded the DHL Care Award for the Second Successive Year

Emirates Airlines Freight Division, Emirates SkyCargo recently announced that they have received the prestigious Carrier Award for Reliability and Excellence (CARE) 2018 from DHL Global Forwarding. The award was made in recognition of their outstanding service for the transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

Henrik Ambak, Senior Vice President, Cargo Operations Worldwide for Emirates, received the award at the 18th Global Life Sciences & Healthcare Conference hosted by DHL at Baveno, Italy.

Emirates SkyCargo has provided exceptional service, quality, ground handling and introduced innovative technologies and processes for pharmaceutical shipments.

The Dubai-based air cargo carrier has won this award previously in 2017 and this new award exemplifies their position as one of the global leaders in the air cargo industry for pharmaceutical transportation.

Dubai is home to the world’s largest GDP certified multi-airport hub, operated by Emirates SkyCargo the facility is over 8,600 square meters of combined handling space tailored for pharmaceutical shipments and is located at their Emirates SkyCentral DXB and Emirates SkyCentral DWC terminals.

Emirates SkyCargo devised and implemented a three-tiered specialized solution for the transport of pharmaceuticals, Emirates Pharma has been very well received by their customers and since the projects launch the company has seen a growth of over 30%.

Emirates Pharma Cool Dollies are and the White Cover range of thermal blankets are new innovations, with the latter being developed in collaboration with DuPont. Pharma corridors are just another example of Emirates SkyCargo’s commitment to providing an unbroken cool chain for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
