Nepal Airlines Signs Agreement with Unilode for ULD Management
The national flag carrier of Nepal, Nepal Airlines Corporation has recently signed a five-year agreement with a leading global provider of outsourced Unit Load Device (ULD) management and repair solutions, Unilode for the supply and management of ULDs.
Under the new agreement, Unilode will provide their new lightweight containers and pallets to Nepal Airlines for use on their Airbus A330-200 aircraft that will be added airlines fleet in August 2018 to help meet the growing demand from their international network.
CEO of Unilode, Benoît Dumont has this to say about the new agreement, “As Unilode intensifies its business development efforts in Asia, we are pleased to add Nepal Airlines to our growing network in the region which will further increase ULD pooling synergies and improve asset utilisation. CEO for Nepal Airlines, Sugat Ratna Kansakar added, “Nepal Airlines launched a tender to meet the needs for ULD supply and management for our widebody aircraft and have decided to work with the experts in the field as our partnership with Unilode will provide us with immediate cost savings and guaranteed asset availability from day one of our operations. We are excited to expand our fleet with the two new A330-200 aircraft and look forward to our partnership with Unilode.”
