dnata Receive Pharmaceutical Cargo GDP Certification in Switzerland
One of the largest suppliers of combined air services in the world, dnata were recently awarded the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification for the pharmaceutical handling services at their state-of-the-art facility in the Swiss city of Zürich.
The GDP program focuses on systems for warehouses and distribution centers that store and distribute medicinal or carry active pharmaceutical ingredients products. The GDP scheme sets stringent standards to ensure that consistent quality management systems are in place throughout the entire supply chain.
To receive this certification dnata proved their capability in the handling of pharmaceutical products safely and reliably. For dnata to meet the requirements for GDP, the company completely refurbished one of their warehouse facilities at Zürich Airport along with further enhancing their facilities management practices, quality systems and operations documentation.
GDP/Pharma Manager Cargo for dnata Switzerland, Roger Gutzwiller explained, “We are delighted to achieve GDP certification of our freshly refurbished facility in Zürich. Over the past years, we’ve significantly invested in our operations to meet the highest standards in quality and safety and with today’s announcement and the constant growth of our customer base our efforts are clearly paying off. We stay committed to providing service excellence to all of our more than 30 air cargo customers every day.”
