Air New Zealand has announced a strategic partnership with Unilode Aviation Solutions to optimize its unit load device (ULD) management. Through this collaboration, Air New Zealand will benefit from Unilode’s digital containers and pallets, e-ULD app, and customer dashboard, providing enhanced data analytics and operational efficiencies. Unilode will oversee ULD management, repair, and digital services for Air New Zealand’s flights globally and conduct maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane.
Anne Dunne, the General Manager of Cargo at Air New Zealand, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to improving the customer and employee experience within the cargo ecosystem. She highlighted the shared dedication to innovation and customer excellence, stating that the collaboration with Unilode will streamline ULD operations and enhance customer experience by ensuring better ULD availability.
This partnership enables Unilode to manage Air New Zealand’s ULD fleet, providing advanced tracking, maintenance, and repair services. Ross Marino, CEO of Unilode, expressed enthusiasm about Air New Zealand’s decision to select Unilode for global full-service ULD fleet management, recognizing this as a testament to the strength and reach of Unilode’s services in the Oceania region. Additionally, Air New Zealand has chosen Unilode for galley cart repairs, marking a significant achievement and an honour for Unilode to partner with the iconic airline.
