Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) has taken significant strides towards a sustainable future by enhancing its service efficiency by adopting Hybrid and Electric Ground Service Equipment (GSE). The introduction of a hybrid GSE fleet, including Electric Baggage Tractors, Hybrid Conventional Aircraft Tractors, Hybrid Dual-platform Loaders, Electric Modified Golf Buggies, and recently acquired Hybrid Pallet and Container Transporters, reflects BFS’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.

The cargo warehouse at BFS now operates with a fleet of electric forklifts that have transitioned from Lead-Acid to Lithium batteries. This switch has led to zero emissions and low noise while improving performance and efficiency through consistent power usage and precise control in warehouse spaces.

Furthermore, BFS has set its sights on gradually transitioning all its vehicles to be 100% electrically powered. This move aims to support ground and cargo activities around the airside while contributing to overall sustainability efforts.

BFS’s dedication to continuously promoting its green initiatives is evident, and the company is proud to be a part of driving the Green Airport project. With these steps, BFS is enhancing its operational efficiency and demonstrating a clear commitment to environmental sustainability.
