DHL eCommerce and CTT Expresso have announced a strategic partnership to create a comprehensive parcel delivery network across Spain and Portugal, forming the fourth largest market in Europe. This collaboration aims to address the significant growth opportunities in the Iberian e-commerce market.
The partnership will establish specialized joint ventures in both countries. In Portugal, CTT Expresso will acquire the DHL eCommerce business, becoming the joint processor and distributor of DHL eCommerce parcel volumes. In Spain, DHL eCommerce will focus on B2B operations, while CTT Express, the Spanish entity of CTT Expresso, will handle B2C services.
This streamlined approach will create a highly efficient network for parcel processing and last-mile delivery, enhancing the customer experience across Iberia. The collaboration leverages the strengths of both companies to optimize operations and capitalize on the growing e-commerce market in the region.
“This partnership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing comprehensive and reliable parcel delivery solutions in Iberia,” said a DHL eCommerce spokesperson. “By joining forces with CTT Expresso, we are creating a leading network that will benefit both businesses and consumers.”
The collaboration is expected to drive innovation and efficiency in the Iberian parcel delivery market, offering customers a seamless and reliable experience.
