DHL Group and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have signed a new global partnership agreement to enhance humanitarian logistics and lifesaving aid projects worldwide. This agreement builds on their ongoing collaboration and establishes a formal framework for coordinating humanitarian projects across multiple regions.

The partnership will focus on scaling disaster preparedness and relief efforts through DHL’s GoHelp program, improving aid delivery, and strengthening community resilience. Projects are already underway in Kenya, Lebanon, Sudan, and Türkiye, with capacity-building programs planned for Greece and Panama.

“This partnership strengthens our commitment to humanitarian logistics, improving our capacity to coordinate and manage responses, ensuring critical aid reaches those in need,” said Mayyada Ansari, Global Head of GoHelp – Disaster Preparedness & Response at DHL. “Building on the success of the IOM and DHL GoHelp pilot project in Kenya, we aim to scale disaster preparedness and relief efforts globally, supporting communities and strengthening resilience.”

Catalina Devandas, IOM Director General Representative and Senior Director for Partnerships, Advocacy, and Communications, added, “Our partnership with DHL exemplifies our shared dedication to supporting those in need during times of crisis. By combining our expertise, we can enhance efficiency and expand our impact, ensuring more effective support for people in crisis.”

GoHelp Program and Disaster Relief

DHL’s GoHelp program focuses on disaster management, providing logistics expertise and support to communities affected by natural disasters. The program collaborates with various humanitarian organizations to improve emergency response capabilities and build resilience in vulnerable regions.

A recent example of this collaboration was the response to flooding in Kenya in 2024. DHL GoHelp coordinated the delivery of 1,000 donated water filters from the U.S. to Kenya, providing clean water to thousands of people affected by the floods.

This new global partnership between DHL Group and IOM is a significant step forward in enhancing humanitarian logistics and ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most, effectively and efficiently.
