The DSV Air Charter Network is adding further capacity to accommodate high demand during peak season. Beginning the week of October 19, New York is added as a destination with part charters twice weekly from Belgium in Europe. Trucking connections from New York supports reliable feeding and distribution within the USA.

Also, a weekly round trip flight between Luxemburg and Huntsville (Alabama, USA) is added to the Air Charter Network’s existing double weekly rotation on that route.

Mads Ravn, Head of Global Air Freight Procurement at DSV, explains: “Production is picking up across the transatlantic, and with belly capacity down by 50% YoY, we are again expanding the DSV Air Charter Network to meet demand. New York will be added this week with twice-weekly part charters, and we are expanding our capacity on the legacy DSV Panalpina route from Luxembourg to Huntsville and back with a third weekly rotation.”

DSV’s charter network offers controlled capacity on key trade lanes and benefits from using less congested airports such as Luxembourg and Huntsville to ensure faster turnaround on the ground and reduce the risk of delays.

The service is ideal for handling special cargo such as pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, microchips, oversized oil and gas equipment, helicopters, cars, radioactive and explosive cargo as well as high-value goods
