MAI Launches Fifth Chinese Route

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) continued their ambitious network expansion with the increase of its presence in China with the launch of their Mandalay – Fuzhou service.

MAI will operate this route 3 times per week as charter operations with the inaugural flight between Mandalay International Airport (MDL) and Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) departing on 9th August 2019 (Friday).

To commemorate this new route, MAI greeted the inaugural flight passengers from Fuzhou with a warm welcome with a traditional water cannon salute.

MAI currently flies between Yangon and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Gaya, Guangzhou, Kolkata and between Mandalay and Bangkok. MAI started its charter flight to Korea and Japan in March 2013.

MAI is a member of the IATA Clearing House (ICH) and the IATA and a partner of MITA system. MAI is the only recipient in Myanmar of the IATA Operational Safety Audit Program (IOSA) Operator.
