Pattaya Airways Inaugural Pre-Commercial Flight

On August 21, 2024, Suvarnabhumi Airport witnessed a historic moment as the Director of Air Cargo Operations joined the CEO of Pattaya Airways Co., Ltd. to commemorate the airline’s inaugural pre-commercial flight. The ATR 72-500 Freighter named “Thantima” (HS-PAW) took off on the route from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phuket International Airport and back, marking a significant leap forward in Thailand’s logistics and supply chain capabilities.

The flight, bearing the plate number PTW822, departed from Suvarnabhumi at 6:00 AM and landed in Phuket at 8:15 AM. Subsequently, it returned to Suvarnabhumi on Flight PTW823 at 12:15 PM. This milestone launch signifies Pattaya Airways’ commitment to leading safe, innovative, and highly efficient cargo transportation, which will bolster various industries, including manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.

With aspirations to expand its fleet to five aircraft by 2028, Pattaya Airways aims to elevate Thailand as a logistics hub in the ASEAN region. The airline is poised to support business growth and meet the demands of the competitive regional market by providing state-of-the-art air cargo services connecting key destinations within Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region.”
