The citizens’ organization, Sending Disposable Hand Warmers to Ukraine, formed by volunteers from Yamagata and Fukushima prefectures, works in cooperation with the Yamagata Prefectural Peace Center and other organizations to collect unnecessary disposable hand warmers from citizens and send them to the people in Ukraine, which is facing a severe winter due to power shortages.

Yusen Logistics joined forces with the citizens’ organization to transport approximately 30,000 disposable hand warmers that were donated to Sending Disposable Hand Warmers to Ukraine by air free of charge. The company also plans to arrange for ocean transport.

Based on its vision, “Connecting people, businesses and communities to a better future – through logistics,” Yusen Logistics will continue to engage in social contribution activities.
