Air Chief Marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin, Chairman of the Rehabilitation Planner, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), said THAI as the national flag carrier will partner with the Ministry of Public Health to transport the first 200,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Thailand. The vaccine from SINOVAC BIOTECH CO., LTD. will be delivered on THAI’s cargo flight TG675, operated with an A350-900 aircraft. The flight will leave from Beijing at 06.50 hours (local time) and arrive in Bangkok at 11.05 hours (local time) on 24 February 2021.
THAI has installed temperature-controlled containers capable of controlling the temperature between -20˚C and +20˚C, into its wide-body aircraft for this cargo flight. Also, THAI specially prepared ground equipment and a large air-conditioned cargo area for vaccines storage. Qualified ground staff were also accredited with the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certificate according to the standard of the World Health Organization by SGS (Thailand) Company Limited.
