Turkish Cargo 2018 Growth Rate 10 Times Higher than Market Average

Figures recently released for 2018 by the international air cargo market information provider, WACD, show that Turkish Cargo, one of the worlds fastest growing air cargo carriers, achieved an increase of 21.7% in sold cargo along with a 2.2% growth in the global air cargo market.

For 2018 Turkish Cargo carried 1,414,000 tonnes of cargo thanks to their direct cargo freighter flights to 85 destinations, along with extra cargo carrying capacity with the national flag carrier Turkish Airlines. The results keep Turkish Cargo firmly in eighth place for the global air cargo market.

The air cargo carrier continued their expansion in 2018, launching several new lines to enhance their network. The expansion included, new cargo flights to Bogota (Colombia), Brussels (Belgium), Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Houston (USA), Mexico City (Mexico), Miami (USA), Muscat (Oman), Navoi (Uzbekistan), Taipei (Taiwan), Toronto (Canada), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Zaragoza (Spain).

As a result of the new lines opening up, Turkish Cargo now has over 300 destinations in their network. The airline continues to raise the bar with their wide range of services and operational capabilities in the air cargo market.
