Turkish Cargo Builds a Global Air Bridge for Special Cargo

Turkish Cargo has reported their global market share has risen to 5.4 percent, from 3.9 percent, and have gained 67 percent growth within the first half of 2020. The air carries says this is thanks to its special cargo operations that they have been building up and accelerating the growth of their global air bridge.

In addition to its wide flight network encompassing the globe, Turkish Cargo is a notable logistics solution partner for the special cargo shipments. Their operations for transporting special cargo includes shipments of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, dangerous goods and valuable cargo. The air carrier carried 30 thousand tons of medicines and nearly 10 thousand tons of medical equipment between February 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020.

Being the first air cargo brand to hold three important International Air Transport Association (IATA) certificates, the CEIV Pharma, CEIV Fresh, and CEIV Live Animal certificates, Turkish Cargo ensures protection at high standards at its special cargo storage rooms with various temperature ranges available at its facilities with a total area of 3.500 m2 at the Istanbul and the Ataturk airports.

Turkish Cargo says that they possess all of the capabilities required for transporting the upcoming vaccine needed to combat they pandemic that hit the world in 2020. Turkish Cargo minimizes the risk for the health-care products with a high level of sensitivity by making use of the active temperature-controlled Envirotainer and CSafe containers, the electrical air-conditioning container Opticooler, Thermal Dolly and disposal thermal sheets equipped with thermal isolation features.
