Completing the gradual transition process to Istanbul Airport, one of the largest airports of the world, the global air cargo brand Turkish Cargo has maintained their dual-terminal operations with full capacity on a 24/7 basis without any sales restrictions.
Maintaining its services at Ataturk and Istanbul Airports as “Dual Hubs” without any changes to the quality or attention levels, Turkish Cargo attained a better ranking with respect to the scheduled time of arrival/take-off referred to as on-time performance, compared to the previous year. They also achieved a growth rate of 11.6 percent in the sold cargo tonnage, and maintained their 7th rank on the WACD (World Air Cargo Data) list according to the data obtained during the first quarter of the year featuring a shrinkage of -3.1 percent across the industry.
Turkish Cargo says they will have a capacity to handle 4 million tons of cargo annually. Their cargo terminal will have an indoor area of 300 thousand square meters upon completion of all phases. They are currently performing their operations by means of freighter flights from the existing cargo terminal at Ataturk Airport.
