Turkish Cargo Ranks Third Among Global Air Cargo Carriers

Turkish Cargo, the air cargo brand of Turkish Airlines, has secured third position among the world’s leading air cargo carriers, following a remarkable performance in May. The brand, which was placed sixth in the same period last year, according to the monthly data published by the International Air Transport Association, has climbed up the ladder to become one of the top three air cargo carriers, surpassing the leading brands in America, Europe, and the Far East during May 2024.

The Freight Tonne Kilometers (FTK)—the metric used to measure the cargo tonnage carried by air multiplied by the kilometres covered—reveals that Turkish Cargo increased its cargo tonnage by 8% compared to the previous month, raising its market share to 6.2% by increasing it compared to January.

As one of the fastest-growing air cargo brands globally, Turkish Cargo continues to set higher daily standards for success. The brand combines its wide range of services and operational capabilities with the unique geographical advantages of its hub in Türkiye.
