Qatar Airways Cargo has expanded its global network through additional freighter services, route resumptions and increased passenger flight frequencies, raising overall cargo capacity by approximately 12%.
The expansion includes the relaunch of Boeing 777 freighter operations to Vienna and the addition of a second Boeing 777 freighter serving Warsaw.
Expanding Freighter and Belly-Hold Capacity
The Vienna freighter service operates on the Doha–Budapest–Vienna–Doha routing, while the additional Warsaw service operates via Budapest.
The airline also announced new passenger destinations to Caracas and Bogotá, commencing in July 2026, marking the first belly-hold connection from the Middle East to both cities.
Additional route resumptions include Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda, while frequencies across several global destinations have increased since May 2026.
Strengthening Key Trade Corridors
The network expansion adds both freighter and belly-hold cargo capacity across major markets in Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East.
Notable increases include:
- Hong Kong: 42 weekly freighter flights and expanded passenger capacity
- São Paulo: Additional passenger frequencies alongside four weekly freighter services
- Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Dhaka: Increased passenger frequencies supporting additional cargo uplift
- Vienna and Warsaw: Expanded European freighter operations
- Houston and New York: Additional North American passenger frequencies
- Supporting Global Cargo Demand
Qatar Airways Cargo said the expanded network strengthens connectivity through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport, supporting cargo flows between East and West.
The carrier’s cargo products remain available across both freighter and passenger services through its Digital Lounge booking platform and local sales network.
