CEVA Logistics has announced the launch of its new sub-brand, CEVA FORPLANET, aimed at delivering low-carbon and sustainable logistics solutions to help businesses reduce their environmental impact. This initiative underscores CEVA’s commitment to supporting global supply chains in their efforts to combat climate change.
With many companies worldwide actively setting decarbonization and sustainability goals, CEVA FORPLANET is positioned as a vital player in this movement. The new suite of logistics solutions will offer customers a variety of options, including low-carbon transport methods and circular economy practices, which are critical for minimizing the ecological footprint of their supply chains. The solutions also include precise CO2e calculations to aid customers in accurately reporting their sustainability metrics.
As a part of the CMA CGM Group, CEVA Logistics aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. To this end, the company has committed to reducing its operational emissions through improvements in warehouse management, fleet operations, and collaborations with carrier partners to implement low carbon solutions. Notably, CEVA’s scope 3 emissions—accounting for 95 percent of its emissions—will be a primary focus for the new CEVA FORPLANET offerings.
CEVA’s corporate social responsibility efforts earned recognition recently when the company received a gold medal from EcoVadis, placing it in the top 1 percent of logistics and transport firms and the top 5 percent of all companies evaluated.
The CEVA FORPLANET suite includes diverse solutions aimed at measuring, optimizing, and transitioning to low-carbon transport options, featuring modal shifts and alternative fuels for air, ocean, and ground transportation. In 2024 alone, CEVA has successfully avoided over 26,000 tons of emissions by utilizing more than 10 million litres of sustainable fuel. Furthermore, the company operates over 1,000 electric and low-carbon fuel vehicles and provides modal shift solutions such as rail and barge transport, illustrating a significant commitment to reducing road emissions.
Additionally, CEVA Logistics is encouraging the development of circular economies across various industries, including automotive, retail, healthcare, and technology. The company collaborates with partners to create closed-loop supply chains, reverse logistics, and product take-back programs aimed at enhancing resource efficiency. CEVA FORPLANET packaging solutions offer reusable options, significantly reducing reliance on single-use packaging. In the first half of 2024, these reusable packaging efforts saved over 10,000 kilograms of plastic.
Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics, emphasized the importance of action in addressing climate change, stating, “As one of our core CSR pillars, ‘Acting for Planet’ isn’t just an empty phrase; it’s a guiding principle that influences everything we do, including the solutions we offer.” The launch of the CEVA FORPLANET sub-brand signifies the company’s dedication to advancing decarbonization efforts and finding sustainable methods for supporting customers’ supply chains.
