The Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, and Reed Tradex, ASEAN’s leading exhibition organizer, recently joined a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony for the TILOG-LOGISTIX 2020.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Somdet Susomboon, Deputy Director-General of International Trade Promotion and ceremony president said that strong logistics businesses help encouraging Thai exporters. Especially during the time where Thailand is affected by the fluctuation of the world’s economy as well as the spreading of COVID-19.
The Department has been supporting the improvement of logistics system standards, to meet with consumers’ demands, as well as expanding trade with an online system, which is aimed at the foreign market. The Department also helps to push the potential of agricultural logistics businesses, in an attempt to continuously add more value to agriculture products.
“This MoU signing will bring improvements upon the whole of Thailand’s logistics industry, as well as elevate the standard of the business exhibition under the transition of the digital economy,” said Mr. Susomboon.
“During the past five years, TILOG-LOGISTIX exhibition has met with success as one of the driving forces behind Thailand’s logistics businesses and as a doorway to the ASEAN market,” added Ms. Waraporn Thamjaree, Managing Director of Reed Tradex.
The TILOG-LOGISTIX 2020 will be held on August 26th to August 28th at Hall 98, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC Bangna.) 415 brands from 25 countires around the globe will be exhibiting technologies and innovations, which aims to support logistics businesses in the digital era, from basic solutions to intelligent innovations. The exhibition will provide educational activities and international seminars from regional logistics service providers as well.
