National Airlines has announced its commitment to acquiring four Boeing 777 Freighters, marking the global carrier’s first order of this aircraft. The 777 Freighter, known for being the longest-range twin-engine freighter with exceptional payload capacity, will enhance the airline’s commercial cargo service and contribute to its market expansion worldwide.

Christopher Alf, the chairman of National Airlines, expressed enthusiasm regarding the order, stating, “We are elated by this remarkable order of four Boeing 777 Freighters. This demonstrates our commitment to offering efficient, resourceful, and modern air freight services to support our global customers’ increasing transportation demands.”

This strategic investment aligns with National Airlines’ fleet growth plan and signifies a significant milestone for the carrier. The company expressed gratitude for the support from Boeing and its teams throughout the ordering process.

Once the deal is finalized, National Airlines’ procurement of Boeing aircraft will be publicly listed on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website.

With its remarkable capabilities, including a range of 9,200 km (4,970 nautical miles) and a freight capacity of 107 tonnes, the 777 Freighter outperforms other twin-engine cargo jets currently in operation. This exceptional capability allows operators to transport more freight over longer nonstop routes, contributing to improved operating economics.

Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, commended National Airlines for its trust in the 777 Freighter to expand the carrier’s global fleet and deliver greater value to its customers.

The addition of the 777 Freighters will complement National Airline’s existing fleet of nine 747-400 freighters. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the carrier’s 747 operations, the 777 Freighter will facilitate the transfer of cargo between the two aircraft, streamlining ground logistics and generating additional cost savings through fleet commonality.
