SF Airlines, a leading China-based cargo airline, has presented Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) with its annual ‘Outstanding Partnership Award’ for its services at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK). The award recognizes WFS’s commitment to providing high-quality and reliable freighter ramp handling and warehouse services.
“WFS is honored to have received this award and to be supporting SF Airlines’ Overseas Strategy to expand its international logistics capabilities through the reliability and safety of our operations,” said José Canales, SVP, of Commercial & Business Development, Americas at WFS. “SF Airlines is successfully leveraging strategic partnerships like the one with SATS and WFS to strengthen its network reach, freight capacity, and service capabilities in key global markets.”
Strong Partnership and Collaboration
WFS began its partnership with SF Airlines in North America in 2018, providing cargo handling services at JFK Airport. The collaboration later expanded to include Los Angeles. SATS and WFS also provide cargo handling services for SF Airlines in Singapore, Bangkok, Frankfurt, and Liege.
This award acknowledges the safety, security, and operational excellence demonstrated by the WFS team in LAX and JFK, as well as the strong communication and collaboration between SF Airlines and WFS personnel.
Expanding Global Collaboration
In July 2024, SATS, the parent company of WFS, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SF Group to expand their strategic collaboration and supply chain optimization globally. This included the opening of a new airside logistics center for SF Express Singapore at the SATS Core A warehouse in Changi Airfreight Centre in October 2024.
The new facility optimizes export and import operations for SF Express Singapore, enabling greater flexibility and faster turnaround times for customers. This development supports SF Express Singapore’s expansion across Southeast Asia and globally.
The partnership between SF Airlines and WFS highlights the importance of collaboration and strategic alliances in the air cargo industry. By leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise, the companies can enhance their service offerings and support the growth of their respective networks.
