Swiss WorldCargo, the airfreight division of SWISS specializing in high-value, time-critical, and care-intensive shipments, has entered a new partnership with FIEGE Air Cargo Logistics, an innovative European logistics company providing integrated airfreight handling services. The collaboration aims to significantly improve mail handling practices at Zurich Airport.
Swiss WorldCargo officially celebrated the opening of the new mail handling facility at Zurich Airport, operated by its new partner FIEGE Air Cargo Logistics, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This partnership underscores the commitment of both Swiss WorldCargo and FIEGE Air Cargo Logistics to offering efficient, trustworthy, and flexible mail handling services. The new setup at the facility will allow Swiss WorldCargo to enhance the quality and reliability of its SWISS Mail product across several key areas.
Benefits for Customers
- Extended Opening Hours: Swiss WorldCargo will now serve customers in Zurich with extended daily opening hours from 05:00 to 21:00 CET. Import mail arriving in Zurich will be processed throughout these full operating hours.
- Shorter Transit Times: The new arrangement ensures shorter transit times with a minimum connection time of six hours.
- Same-Day Connections: Mail shipments arriving in Zurich on flights landing before 17:00 CET can now reach their final destination in Europe or connect to late evening international flights on the same day.
