FedEx Express received the Platinum Level recognition at the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Awards 2021 in Thailand.

This Platinum Level recognition is a testament to team members’ ongoing community outreach efforts at FedEx in Thailand. In the face of the ongoing healthcare crisis, FedEx continues to support the community by leveraging its services and network to provide aid where possible. For example, amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, FedEx collaborated with Allianz Ayudhya for the second time, successfully delivering two batches of medical supplies to front-line medical professionals under the “Send Shields to Remote Doctors” campaign, a continuous effort by FedEx and Allianz Ayudhya since June 2020.

At the same time, FedEx continues to support the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. This year, despite the pandemic, the 14th annual FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC) Asia Pacific went ahead as planned. The ITC is an entrepreneurial competition with participants from APAC markets engaging in workshops and competitions to learn about international trade.

The Platinum Level recognition award is granted to companies that demonstrate an advanced understanding of the linkages between business operations and society and conduct business in a way that creates long-term economic and social values. Companies must meet a benchmark of CSR Excellence for ten consecutive years to qualify for the Platinum Level recognition.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, FedEx has continued to work as an essential service to keep the world connected. These community outreach initiatives are consistent with the company’s FedEx Cares 50 by 50 goal to positively impact 50 million people worldwide by the company’s 50th anniversary in 2023. Through FedEx Cares, the company’s global community engagement program to connect people and possibilities through in-kind shipping, volunteering and expertise, and charitable giving, recent events have focused on utilizing its extensive network and resources to support vaccine transportation along with donating medical supplies and educational equipment to communities in border provinces of Thailand.
