DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has been recognised as Asia Pacific Top Employer 2022 for the eighth consecutive year. The accolade was recognised in nine Asia Pacific countries, including Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, and Vietnam.

DHL Express once again received high ratings in business and HR strategies, management and corporate culture, and business ethics. In addition, DHL Express’ annual Employee Opinion Survey achieved 96 percent in the “Employee Engagement” category, reflecting its employees’ enthusiasm and satisfaction in Asia Pacific.

“We are delighted to be certified in so many countries in the region and all over the world,” said Ken Lee, CEO, DHL Express Asia Pacific. “This is a strong testament to the efforts that the team has put in to ensure we have the best HR practice in the industry. This year, we see Pakistan and Indonesia being certified for the first time, showing our passion for improving. We will continue our efforts in ensuring that our employees will always see us as their Employer of Choice.”

DHL Express specialises in parcel delivery, aircraft maintenance, network planning, finance, and more in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. The company annually invests a double-digit million Euro amount in its employees and rolls out HR leadership development and talent growth programs worldwide, including Certified International Specialist (CIS) and Certified International Manager (CIM). The Top Employer certifications confirm that the personnel and economic effort and long-term employee retention are highly valued in the competition.

“Being recognised by the Top Employers Institute for our workplace culture and practices for eight years is a remarkable achievement,” said Mateen Thiruselvaam, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, DHL Express Asia Pacific. “At DHL Express, we value the diversity of our employees as a genuine strength, and we provide leadership and functional training curricula across all our business units to cater to specific development needs. In addition, we will continue to invest and engage with our employees to make sure we respond to their needs.”

In total, over 114 Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL) national companies in 69 countries have been certified as Top Employer.

The Top Employers Institute, based in Amsterdam, certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey which looks at people practices based on six domains covering key HR themes: Steer, Shape, Attract, Develop, Engage, Unite. The surveys allow DPDHL to compare individual national companies within the Group as well as to compare its performance as an employer against other companies.
