Jettainer ONE Record ULD Challenge IATA Hackathon

Jettainer presented a $3,000 prize to the Champ Cargosystems team for their winning solution in the inaugural ONE Record ULD Challenge at the IATA Hackathon in Dublin. The challenge, part of a two-day event focused on utilizing IATA’s ONE Record standard to enhance supply chain efficiency, tasked participants with creating an AI-assisted serviceability check for Unit Load Devices (ULDs).

The Champ Cargosystems team developed “Luna,” an AI-powered assistant that uses voice, text, and pictures to perform serviceability checks on any ULD type. Their solution leverages the ONE Record API, addressing the need for fast, precise, and automated ULD assessments.

Jettainer CEO Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt praised the innovative approaches presented at the hackathon and highlighted the potential of ONE Record to add value to ULD management services. The winning team was selected by a jury of industry experts based on originality, technical merit, impact, and presentation skills.

Other awards were given to the PLAC1 team, NE:ONE Simulate, and PHP for their contributions to other challenges at the hackathon. Henk Mulder, Head of Digital Cargo at IATA, expressed enthusiasm for the innovative ideas presented and anticipated their future implementation.
