Nippon Express Holdings has established a new regional headquarters company, Nippon Express East Asia Co., Ltd. (NX East Asia), effective 1 January 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and support business expansion across the East Asia region.
NX East Asia was created to coordinate the activities of NX Group companies operating in East Asia, a region considered central to global supply chains due to ongoing market expansion and industrial concentration. The new entity will oversee regional management in line with the group’s East Asia strategy, with the aim of driving growth across the Asia-Pacific region and supporting global operations.
According to NX Group, the establishment of NX East Asia is intended to improve integrated regional management through more effective allocation of management resources and organisational restructuring. The group said this approach is designed to support sustainable growth originating from East Asia.
The new regional headquarters is also expected to reinforce governance by strengthening collaboration between NX East Asia and individual operating companies, while clarifying decision-making authority and improving oversight of execution. In addition, NX Group plans to enhance its management systems by introducing clearer performance indicators and mechanisms focused on customer-oriented regional optimisation.
NX Group operates under a global five-pole structure, with regional headquarters in Japan, the Americas, Europe, East Asia and South Asia/Oceania. The group said this structure is intended to support agile management and responsiveness to changing market conditions as it continues to pursue growth as a global logistics provider.
