THAI Cargo Delivers 1 Million Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine

Cargo & Mail Commercial Department and THAI Cargo Terminal Service Department of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) have been entrusted by the Chulabhorn Royal Academy to deliver one million doses of “Sinopharm” COVID-19 vaccine with a total weight of 45.5 tons from Beijing, the People’s Republic of China to Thailand.

  • Special flight TG8669, utilizing B777-300ER, departed from Beijing at 05:28 hours (local time) and arrived in Bangkok at 09:04 hours on 18 Jully 2021.
  • Cargo flight TG675, utilizing B777-300ER, departed from Beijing at 06:35 hours (local time) and arrived in Bangkok at 10:17 hours on 18 July 2021.

THAI arranged wide-bodied aircraft and ground service equipment supporting the vaccine transportation process and arranged large air-conditioned cargo areas to facilitate vaccine delivery. In addition, THAI’s well-trained and experienced cargo staff are capable of managing temperature-controlled products. They are also guaranteed with WHO’s Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

THAI is honoured to be a part of the COVID-19 vaccine delivery operations and is prepared to transport further vaccine shipments to relieve the pandemic situation in Thailand.
