Yusen Logistics obtains Good Distribution Practice in Thailand & Indonesia

Yusen Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. successfully obtained Good Distribution Practice (GDP) effective on 21st July, evidencing its compliance with The Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) standards for the proper distribution of pharmaceuticals applicable to customs clearance and domestic transport services in Thailand.  

PT. Yusen Logistics Solutions Indonesia obtained Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMDS) at warehouses in MM2100 Industrial Town and Kompleks Pergudangan Taman Tenko in January and obtained GDP for the proper warehousing, distribution, and relabelling service for medical device and pharmaceutical products on 19th July.

In 2016, Yusen Logistics (Benelux) B.V. became the first Japanese air freight forwarder at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to be awarded the prestigious IATA-CEIV Pharma certification. In Asia, PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia became the first logistics business in Indonesia to acquire GDP certification at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in 2016.

In Japan, Yusen Logistics was the first Japanese air freight forwarder at Kansai International Airport to acquire IATA-CEIV Pharma certification in 2018 and acquire CEIV Pharma certification at Narita International Airport in 2021. Currently, a total of 41 operation bases in 24 countries and regions around the world comply with Yusen’s global GDP standards.

With its GDP certification in Thailand and Indonesia, Yusen Logistics will expand pharmaceutical logistics operations further, providing supply chain logistics to meet customer needs.
