During the inaugural TIACA Event Central Asia, The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) solidified its commitment to bolstering Kazakhstan’s emergence as a global air cargo hub by signing 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
The MoUs, signed with various companies within Kazakhstan, aim to support the country’s transit potential and align with its international market interests. Among the signatories were prominent entities such as Aktau International Airport JSC, Almaty International Airport, and SCAT Airlines JSC, to name a few.
Steven Polmans, TIACA Chair, expressed pride in contributing to Kazakhstan’s air cargo hub growth, emphasizing the organization’s dedication to fostering business connectivity. He highlighted the significance of investing in burgeoning cargo hubs like Kazakhstan alongside established ones.
Catalin Radu, General Director of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, welcomed the collaboration with TIACA and emphasized the pivotal role Kazakhstan is poised to play in the global air cargo community.
Glyn Hughes, Director General of TIACA, underscored the event’s demonstration of the air cargo industry’s enthusiasm and determination within the Central Asian region. He reiterated TIACA’s readiness to support the collective vision for growth and economic prosperity in line with industry priorities such as safety, security, and compliance.
The impactful partnerships formed through the MoUs signify a crucial step in Kazakhstan’s journey towards establishing itself as a thriving air cargo hub, poised to contribute substantially to the global air cargo landscape.
