Air France KLM Martinair Cargo has launched a new dedicated freighter service between Amsterdam Schiphol and Seoul–Incheon, strengthening its network in Northeast Asia and restoring main deck capacity to South Korea.
The service is scheduled to begin on 30 March 2026, marking the start of the Summer 2026 season.
Expanding Northeast Asia Network
The new route will operate three times per week using Boeing 747-400 freighters and will be integrated into an Amsterdam–Incheon–Hong Kong–Amsterdam rotation.
As part of this development, the company will also increase its freighter frequencies to Hong Kong from five to six weekly flights, enhancing connectivity across key Asian cargo hubs.
The addition of Incheon reflects growing demand and highlights South Korea’s role as a major logistics and manufacturing centre.
Supporting High-Value Cargo Flows
The new service is designed to support high-value, time-sensitive and specialised cargo flows between Europe and Asia.
From Europe, shipments are expected to include high-tech equipment, semiconductor machinery, aerospace components, pharmaceuticals and project cargo. From South Korea, exports will include semiconductors, electronics, automotive and EV components, medical technology and e-commerce shipments.
The freighter service provides dedicated main deck capacity independent of passenger operations, offering greater flexibility for customers.
Strengthening Global Connectivity
Through its Amsterdam hub, the service connects to a wider network across Europe, Africa and the Americas via Air France, KLM and Delta Air Lines.
Flights will be operated using Boeing 747-400ERF or 747-400BCF aircraft and will support a full range of specialised cargo products, including temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals, perishables, heavy and outsize cargo, and high-value shipments.
The launch reinforces the company’s continued investment in freighter capacity and its focus on supporting global trade through integrated and resilient air cargo networks.
