CEVA Logistics has significantly strengthened its long-standing partnership with Magneti Marelli Parts & Services through the renewal of two crucial logistics contracts in Italy and Poland. These agreements, extending for six and five years respectively, reaffirm CEVA’s role as a strategic partner in optimizing the global automotive supply chain by providing innovative and efficient logistics solutions.

Continued Excellence in Italy

In Italy, CEVA Logistics has renewed its partnership with Magneti Marelli Parts & Services, a collaboration that dates back to 1993, for another six years. CEVA will continue to manage the seamless storage and distribution of spare automotive parts for workshops and independent dealers from its 30,000 m² logistics hub in San Pietro Mosezzo (Novara). This central warehouse has an annual handling capacity of approximately 33,000 spare parts, 50,000 pallets, and 120,000 shipments.

The renewed contract also includes the management of two peripheral warehouses in Pero (Milan) and Padova (Venice). These local facilities are dedicated to high-turnover spare parts that often require urgent delivery, ensuring widespread and timely distribution across Italy and Europe.

Claudio Boschetti, Contract Logistics Product Head Italy at CEVA Logistics, emphasized that Magneti Marelli Parts & Services’ continued trust confirms CEVA’s capability to provide tailor-made logistics solutions for the automotive sector. He reiterated CEVA’s commitment to ensuring fast delivery times and efficient operations.

Expansion and Technological Innovation in Poland

In Poland, CEVA Logistics has extended its agreement with Magneti Marelli Parts & Services, a partnership in place since 2004, for another five years, securing its role as the logistics provider for the company’s distribution center in Sosnowiec until 2029. This facility is one of Magneti Marelli Parts & Services’ largest logistics hubs in Europe, serving customers across 27 countries, including Eastern Europe and the growing Central Asian markets.

A key change in the renewed contract is that the Sosnowiec warehouse, previously a multi-user facility, will now be dedicated exclusively to Magneti Marelli Parts & Services’ operations. This change is expected to enhance efficiency and reduce operational errors. CEVA has also introduced several modern logistics solutions to the facility, including:

  • A two-story mezzanine pick tower to maximize storage capacity and streamline goods flow.
  • An automated conveyor belt system to accelerate internal transport and order fulfillment.
  • A covered outdoor storage area for specific materials, such as refrigerant gases for air conditioning systems.

These improvements will enable CEVA to manage over 50,000 product references with increased speed, reliability, and optimized inventory control.

Piotr Kukiełka, Operations Contract Management Head, CEVA Logistics, stated that the changes implemented in the Sosnowiec distribution center exemplify how flexible and efficient logistics can meet the automotive industry’s needs, providing the highest quality service through innovative solutions. The distribution center’s strategic location within Panattoni Logistics Park, with close proximity to expressway and highway networks, ensures quick market access and optimized deliveries.

Strategic Collaboration for the Future

These contract renewals underscore the enduring partnership between CEVA Logistics and Magneti Marelli Parts & Services, demonstrating a shared commitment to addressing the evolving challenges of the automotive industry. By leveraging advanced logistics solutions, CEVA continues to support Magneti Marelli Parts & Services’ growth strategy, ensuring high-performance distribution networks and streamlined supply chain operations across Europe.
