Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is expanding its digital express solution, HEX (Hellmann Express Airfreight), with a launch in the US and Canada slated for the end of June. HEX introduces a new platform for international door-to-door express delivery, leveraging top courier networks to consolidate shipments centrally. Distinct from conventional combined air and road transport models, HEX emphasizes intelligent digital connectivity, enhancing and streamlining access to global express networks for an efficient, transparent, and user-friendly service experience. The service gains particular relevance for US imports due to recent customs policy updates, as customs clearance is directly managed by the express carriers.

HEX is tailored specifically for small and medium-sized businesses that regularly handle both national and international express shipments. The platform grants these companies access to globally negotiated terms and conditions, eliminating the need for individual contracts with various courier, express, and parcel service providers. The technical foundation of this solution was developed in collaboration with logistics software provider Shipsy, incorporating real-time shipment tracking, detailed analytics, and efficient booking and invoicing processes via a centralized digital interface.

Hellmann plans to extend HEX into additional countries across the Americas, as well as numerous markets in APAC, IMEA, and Europe, during the latter half of the year. Following successful launches in Germany, the UK, and Ireland, this expansion marks another strategic step for Hellmann in offering innovative, customer-focused logistics solutions worldwide. The company’s ambition is to make this product available in approximately 50 countries by the end of 2026.

Timo Schamber, Global Airfreight Vice President at Hellmann, highlighted the benefits of the new offering: “HEX offers our customers an innovative solution that combines cost savings, reliability and excellent customer service. Our collaboration with Shipsy enables us to deliver a single platform that significantly simplifies and streamlines the entire shipping process. The cross-carrier customer service benefit is especially notable in the volatile and often fragmented courier and express services sector, where customers can use a single, dedicated contact person for all their needs.”

Soham Chokshi, Co-Founder and CEO of Shipsy, added: “At Shipsy, our core mission is to simplify and streamline global logistics. By integrating our capabilities into Hellmann’s Express product, HEX, we are not only enhancing visibility and control across the shipment lifecycle but also ensuring seamless coordination across multiple geographies and stakeholders.”
