The state-owned holding company, The Investment Corporation of Dubai which is the investment division of the Government of Dubai recently announced the launch of ISS Global Forwarding.
ISS Global Forwarding will be a wholly-owned subsidiary with a key focus on the supply chain logistics sector. This new company was devised and created from a strategic directive by the Government of Dubai to separate Inchcape Shipping Services Holding Ltd, into two standalone companies with the goal of optimizing the growth potential, customer focus and core competencies of each.
ISS Global Forwarding will focus on core activities of Global Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Projects / Oil & Gas from their Dubai-based headquarters. The company will benefit from their strategic location in the Dubai Airport Free Zone which is located in the heart of Dubai in close proximity to Dubai International Airport.
ISS Global Forwarding will be active in 18 countries initially throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, India and Turkey. The company will implement an ambitious growth strategy as they intend to expand their footprint to the Asia Pacific, mainland China and Singapore.
Mr. Enver Moretti will head up ISS Global Forwarding along with a very highly experienced senior management team. Mr. Moretti had this to say, “We are establishing ourselves as a regional powerhouse and our aspiration is to be recognized within the supply chain logistics industry as a customer-centric organisation.”
CEO & Executive Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, H.E. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani added, “We are confident in the future global growth opportunities presented by the supply chain logistics industry.
