Nippon Express Co., Ltd. has introduced a new cross-border e-commerce logistics service designed to support overseas businesses selling products to consumers in Japan. The service, which utilizes the company’s DCX (Digital Commerce Transformation) logistics web app, aims to provide a more affordable, seamless, and user-friendly solution for international e-commerce operators.
The new offering was developed in response to the continued growth of online purchases by Japanese consumers from overseas e-commerce sites, a market with significant potential.
Streamlining the Supply Chain with Digital Tools
The new service simplifies the complex process of international shipping and customs clearance. Sellers can use the cloud-based DCX app to easily import order data from their websites and generate shipping labels for domestic delivery in Japan. Once packaged products are sent to designated NX Group warehouses overseas, the company’s network seamlessly handles all subsequent logistics, including import, customs clearance, and final delivery to the end consumer.

To enhance the offering, Nippon Express also provides optional outsourcing services for inventory management and shipping operations at its overseas warehouses. Additionally, clients can access “Business Insight” shipping analyses and AI-powered shipping forecasts to optimize their inventory management and procurement planning.
Expanding Global Connectivity
Initially, the service will focus on air freight from North America, Europe, and South Asia to Japan. Nippon Express has plans to expand the service to other regions in 2026. This initiative is part of the NX Group’s broader commitment to leveraging digital and cutting-edge technologies to address customer needs and resolve challenges within the direct-to-consumer (D2C) sector.
