Joint Exhibit Highlights New Possibilities by Fusing Ocean and Space Industries at Major Cross-Industry Trade Fair
Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Yusen Logistics Group (YL) collaborated for the first time to present a joint exhibit at the Space Approach EXPO 2025 (“Space Approach”). The specialized space exhibition was a feature of the broader Messe Nagoya 2025, one of Japan’s largest cross-industry trade fairs, held in Nagoya from November 5 to 7.
Space Approach served as a showcase for the latest technologies and initiatives in the space industry, including rockets and satellites. Messe Nagoya, the parent event, has been a key platform for business expansion and cross-industry collaboration since its launch in 2006, continuing the values of scientific innovation and international exchange established during the 2005 World Expo in Aichi Prefecture. This year, the event attracted approximately 50,000 visitors.

Promoting Space Business and Supply Chain Support
The joint booth, themed “New Possibilities Unlocked by the Fusion of Ocean and Space: Taking on the Space Business,” featured NYK’s efforts in space business development alongside YL’s comprehensive logistics solutions tailored for the space industry.
Yusen Logistics demonstrated its capabilities across the entire space supply chain, which includes services ranging from the procurement of satellite and rocket parts to production support and the finished products logistics. The exhibit successfully highlighted the vital and foundational role of logistics in supporting the complex and rapidly evolving space sector.
