WFS E-Commerce Facility Copenhagen Airport

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has opened a fourth warehouse facility at Copenhagen Airport to expand its specialized E-Commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling (EFFH) services. The new 4,800m² building brings WFS’s total cargo handling space at the airport to over 21,500m² and is part of the company’s strategy to grow its e-commerce product across its global network.

Expanded Services and Value for Customers

The new EFFH facility enables WFS to offer a wider range of value-added services for freight forwarders and e-commerce shippers. These services include preparing shipments to be Ready-for-Carriage, security screening, consolidation, customs clearance preparation, labeling, and repacking. According to Inge Briand de Crevecoeur, Managing Director Copenhagen at WFS, the expansion supports the airport’s growing cargo volumes and thriving freight forwarding community.

WFS’s e-commerce solutions are designed to reduce the total transit time for international shipments to Scandinavian customers by one day, thanks to a fast import sorting and scanning service that expedites customs clearance.

Strategic Growth in Europe

The new facility in Copenhagen joins WFS’s other dedicated EFFH locations in key European hubs such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. Marc Claesen, SVP Northern Europe & Africa at WFS, stated that the expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to diversify its services in an environment where speed and real-time information sharing are critical. WFS will continue to seek new opportunities for growth.
