CEVA Logistics bol Contract Renewal

CEVA Logistics and bol have renewed their long-standing partnership ahead of schedule, extending the contract through 2029 with an option to 2032. The renewal adds shared ESG targets focused on sustainability and employee well-being.

bol, the largest online retailer in the Netherlands and Belgium, and CEVA mark 26 years of collaboration. CEVA manages five sites in the Netherlands—three in Waalwijk, one in Oosterhout, and one in Nieuwegein—covering more than 260,000 square metres of highly automated warehousing. At one of bol’s fully automated facilities, CEVA moves 45 items per direct man-hour, more than doubling throughput versus a less automated site.

During the 2024 holiday peak, CEVA prepared and shipped about 575,000 items per day. Multi-site operations are coordinated through CEVA’s data and control centre, with automation and innovation underpinning efficiency, scalability, and peak adaptability.

The renewed contract aligns bol’s Sustainability and Society values with CEVA’s CSR pillars—Acting for People, Acting for Planet, and Acting for Fair Trade—and formalises targets to reduce environmental impact and enhance employee wellness.

“Our 26-year partnership with bol demonstrates our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Bart de Man, Area Director, eServices, CEVA Logistics. “This early renewal reflects the trust we’ve built, and we’re showing that through formalising our ESG commitments.”

“CEVA Logistics has been essential to our growth journey,” said Safak Tuna, Director Logistics Operations, bol. “The formalised sustainability goals align with our values and will help us deliver exceptional service alongside positive impact for people and planet.”
