Strategic Investment in Pouso Alegre Aims to Drastically Improve Aftermarket Service and Supply Chain Efficiency in Latin America
Iveco Group, a major global player in the automotive sector, has selected CEVA Logistics to manage and operate its brand-new Parts Distribution Center (PDC). This advanced facility, located in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais, represents an investment of R$93 million by Iveco to support its growing operations across Latin America.
The new 20,000-square-meter warehouse is expected to commence operations in April 2026, strategically replacing the existing, capacity-constrained logistics hub in Sorocaba, São Paulo. This move will establish Pouso Alegre as a central hub designed to enhance connectivity between Iveco’s customers and suppliers, significantly boosting the speed and effectiveness of its spare parts supply chain.
Technology and Infrastructure for Future Growth
CEVA Logistics will assume full responsibility for the site, overseeing logistics infrastructure, material handling, and shipping for all of Iveco Group’s brands. A core feature of the new warehouse is its technology focus, including the deployment of a wireless Warehouse Management System (WMS). This system is critical for achieving real-time product traceability and control, ensuring highly accurate and swift deliveries. The entire facility has been designed with expansion flexibility in mind, allowing for nimble growth and agile operations that will also reinforce the Minas Gerais area as a strategic national logistics hub.
Karel Novák, Head of Quality & Operations, LATAM, Iveco Group, underscored the necessity of the project: “The new Parts Distribution Center is foundational to our business expansion and to enhance speed and efficiency in customer supply. This new Distribution Center is a fundamental pillar to enable significant operational gains for Iveco Group, paving the way for future growth.”
CEVA Expands Contract Logistics Footprint
The agreement reinforces CEVA’s position as a dominant contract logistics provider in Brazil, demonstrating its rapid expansion efforts in large-scale and complex warehouse management solutions. Over the past year, CEVA has increased its national warehouse capacity by more than 150,000 square meters, reaching nearly 300,000 square meters total.
The company plans further aggressive growth, intending to add another 120,000 square meters by the end of 2025. This forms part of a larger plan to achieve 620,000 square meters of contract logistics space across the region by 2028.
Daniel Cortazzo, Automotive Sector Leader Director, LATAM, CEVA Logistics, commented on the strengthened alliance: “This new agreement with Iveco Group reinforces our partnership and reflects CEVA’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation in Brazil. The Pouso Alegre Distribution Center will deliver superior agility and service quality to Iveco Group’s growing operations in the region.”
