GEODIS Development Aerospace Defense Sectors

In response to rapid changes in the international environment and growing logistical complexity, GEODIS is accelerating its development within the strategic aerospace and defense sectors. The Group is firmly committed to becoming the partner of choice for industrial and institutional players, driven by substantial growth in defense and security budgets and the modernization of military equipment.

Brigadier General Arnaud Weixler to Lead Operations

To spearhead this ambition, GEODIS has appointed Brigadier General Arnaud Weixler (Ret.) to head its operations in the aerospace and defense sectors. General Weixler’s international expertise and in-depth knowledge of the sector’s challenges are viewed as invaluable assets. His background includes attending the NATO Defense College and holding senior positions within NATO and the French Army, alongside planning and leading numerous complex logistics operations globally.

Addressing Complex Logistics and Growth

GEODIS is seeking to establish a long-term presence and become a key player, notably by supporting the growing needs of France’s Defense Industrial and Technological Base (BITD). The increasingly complex and strategic logistics requirements of this sector are challenges that GEODIS is well positioned to address.

GEODIS already supports numerous industry leaders by providing a full range of expertise, including:

  • Aircraft on Ground (AOG) logistics, which requires the rapid delivery of essential parts.
  • Oversized special transportation.
  • High value-added warehousing.
  • Secure supply chain management.

A key reference for the Group is KNDS, for whom GEODIS inaugurated a state-of-the-art automated logistics facility in Montbeugny, central France, in 2023. This facility illustrates the Group’s ability to provide innovative and high-performance solutions to sector leaders.

GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider with a global network spanning nearly 170 countries and 50,000 employees, generated €11.3 billion in revenue in 2024. The Group specializes in Global Freight Forwarding, Global Contract Logistics, Distribution & Express Transport, and European Road Network.
