Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and SkyNet Worldwide Express have formed a strategic partnership to launch a new, comprehensive cross-border e-commerce solution. This end-to-end service is designed to meet the booming global demand for reliable and affordable logistics, connecting consumers and brands worldwide.
A Hybrid Cross-Border B2C Model
The new joint product focuses specifically on cross-border Business-to-Consumer (B2C) distribution, positioning the partners as a strong alternative to established providers for both global corporations and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The comprehensive solution covers the entire e-commerce supply chain, encompassing warehousing and fulfillment, pick-up, linehaul, and import/export customs clearance. It further includes B2C deliveries and returns management, along with dedicated customer service.
Martin Habisreitinger, COO Airfreight at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, highlighted that the solution connects Hellmann’s global logistics expertise and freight infrastructure directly to customers worldwide, enabling reliable last-mile delivery in over 190 countries.
Combining Expertise for Efficiency
The partnership effectively combines Hellmann’s global freight infrastructure and worldwide warehousing expertise with SkyNet’s decades of experience in B2C delivery and advanced e-commerce capabilities. The resulting service is positioned to be faster than traditional postal shipping yet significantly more cost-effective than express options. Furthermore, SkyNet’s digital tools and API connectivity allow merchants to manage global shipments through a single integration, providing seamless digital integration and advanced customs clearance. Integrated systems offer full end-to-end tracking across all regions and transport modes.
Tommy Erasmus, Group CEO of SkyNet Worldwide Express, affirmed that by combining Hellmann’s market reach with SkyNet’s e-commerce expertise, they have created a “true end-to-end solution for merchants of all sizes.”
The new cross-border e-commerce solution is initially available for shippers based in the EU or UK and will subsequently be rolled out globally.
