Parata Air, South Korea’s newest airline, has appointed Jettainer to manage its entire fleet of unit load devices (ULDs) in preparation for the start of flight operations this autumn. Under the agreement, Jettainer will oversee the airline’s lightweight ULD inventory from day one, supporting Parata Air’s ambitious growth strategy with scalable, tech-driven solutions.

All ULDs will be equipped with advanced tracking systems and managed through Jettainer’s proprietary JettWareNG platform, ensuring operational efficiency and full fleet visibility. The agreement also includes comprehensive ULD maintenance services.

Initial routes will connect Incheon Airport with Japan and Vietnam using Airbus A320-200 and A330-200 aircraft. Transpacific services to North America are expected to launch in 2026, with additional A330s joining the fleet, followed by the introduction of Airbus A350s in 2028.

“The partnership with Jettainer, a global leader in ULD management, is an important step and ensures a highly efficient supply of lightweight ULDs for our growing route network from the very first flight,” said Mr. Unhyung Ko of Parata Air. “We deliberately opted for the efficiency and service quality of the experts to develop our operations flexibly while maintaining a fleet that grows in line with our needs.”

Mr. Thorsten Riekert, General Manager Asia Pacific at Jettainer, commented, “We are very much looking forward to being part of Parata Air’s journey from day one. Adding another customer in Asia also expands our network and creates valuable synergies for Parata Air and all our customers.”

Parata Air, formerly known as Fly Gangwon, was renamed following its acquisition by WINIX last year. The airline aims to differentiate itself in the market by moving beyond the traditional low-cost and full-service models, focusing instead on delivering “mindful and distinctive” customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
