The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the ACFI Annual Conclave 2025, formalising a new phase of cooperation aimed at enhancing the role of air cargo in India’s economic and social development.
The agreement outlines a comprehensive agenda of collaboration between the two organisations, encompassing key areas such as safety, capacity building, policy advocacy, supply chain integrity, and sustainability. TIACA will also extend access to its BlueSky sustainability verification program, training resources, and Climate Action initiatives. Additionally, the partnership will foster knowledge exchange and support joint events and industry forums.
“This MoU marks a significant step in fostering closer collaboration between TIACA and ACFI, reflecting our shared commitment to driving innovation, sustainability, and resilience in the air cargo industry,” said Mr. Steven Polmans, Chair of TIACA. “By combining our strengths, we aim to elevate India’s role in the global supply chain and support broader economic and social development across the region.”
Mr. Sanjiv Edward, President of ACFI, added, “ACFI is a distinctive nationwide forum representing the entire air cargo logistics and supply chain industry. We have long partnered with both industry and government to drive integrated progress and economic prosperity. This agreement strengthens those efforts through enhanced international collaboration.”
Mr. Glyn Hughes, Director General of TIACA, stated, “We are delighted to partner with ACFI through this MoU, which underscores our mutual dedication to advancing air cargo’s critical role in economic growth and community development. This collaboration will enable greater knowledge sharing, support capacity building, and accelerate progress on key initiatives like sustainability, safety, and digital transformation.”
